1. BANNS OF MARRIAGE WILL BE READ FOR THE FIRST TIME THIS MORNING for Samuel David James Kirk and Julia Meryl Cosima Miskin, who are to be married in October at St Mary’s Stoke Abbot, Dorset. A warm welcome to them and please remember Samuel and Julia in your prayers.

2. OUR VISITING ORGANIST FOR THIS MORNING is Mr Malcolm Rudland.

3. OUR ORGANIST, JOHN WEBSTER has signalled his desire to move on from Holy Cross after ten year’s service and we will be marking his time with us with a farewell presentation at our Patronal Mass on 15th September at the 6 pm, which will be his final duty. There is a card at the back of church for you to sign to send John your thanks and good wishes.

4. OUR PATRONAL MASS FOR THE FEAST OF THE EXALTATION OF THE HOLY CROSS takes place this year on Sunday 15th September at 6 pm in this church. Our celebrant and preacher will be The Ven. Luke Miller, Archdeacon of London. A reception will follow. Please keep this date in your diaries. A sheet at the back of church details our requirement for food items and it would be good if you could sign up to bring a dish to serve approx. four people.

THE 50TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE MOON LANDING -  HOLY CROSS CHURCH WILL BE WELCOMING LUKE JERAM’S ‘MUSEUM OF THE MOON’ – A FABULOUS DIGITAL FACSIMILE OF THE ACTUAL MOON, WHICH WILL BE SET UP HERE IN CHURCH FOR THE DURATION OF THE BLOOMSBURY FESTIVAL - SATURDAY 12TH OCTOBER UNTIL MONDAY 21ST OCTOBER. MANY LOCAL AND PUBLIC EVENTS AND VISITS WILL ACCOMPANY THE MOON IMPLACEMENT AND HOLY CROSS CHURCH WILL BE AT THE CENTRE OF A GREAT DEAL OF INTEREST AND CELEBRATION. WATCH THIS SPACE!
