1. THE NATIONAL PILGRIMAGE TO THE SHRINE OF OUR LADY OF WALSINGHAM takes place this year on Monday 28th May. The Preacher will be The Rev’d. Preb. Graeme Rowlands, Vicar of St Silas Kentish Town here in London. Please place your name on the sheet at the back of church if you would like to go. The cost is £20 each (£10 for children) and do bring a packed lunch. The entrance fee to the shrine grounds is an additional £4. We leave Holy Cross Church on the day at 7 30 am and return to King’s Cross at around 8 30 pm.

2. OUR ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING (AGM) TAKES PLACE THIS COMING SUNDAY 22ND APRIL AFTER THE PARISH MASS IN THIS CHURCH. At this meeting we confirm our renewed electoral roll membership and appoint new churchwardens for the coming year. We will also conduct a review of the year and a report will be given of our annual accounts. All current PCC members should attend this meeting. Forms are available at the back of church for nominations for electoral roll membership and churchwarden and PCC nominations.

3. OUR FRIENDS THE SISTERS OF THE CROSS AT EDGWARE ABBEY are holding an open day at Edgware Priory on Saturday 2nd June. There will be a Mass at midday followed by a celebration lunch (Cost: £6 each). Please fill in the form at the back if you would like to go. We leave Holy Cross Church for Edgware at 10 30 am, and there will be no celebration of the Mass in this church. The celebrant at the Mass will be the former Bishop of Edmonton, Bishop Peter Wheatley and the Preacher The Rev’d. Tim Pike, Vicar of St Michael’s Church, Croydon.

3. NOTICE OF A CONVERSATION WITH THE NEW BISHOP OF LONDON, THE RT REV’D. DAME SARAH MULLALY, AT ST PAUL’S CATHEDRAL. There are leaflets at the back of church giving details of this event which takes place in the Cathedral on Monday 4th June from 6 30 ‘til 8 pm. Please pray for Bishop Sarah as we prepare for her Installation at St Paul’s Cathedral on Saturday 12th May at 2 pm. On that note TWO tickets for this service of Installation may make themselves available for our church through ballot. Please let Fr Christopher know if you would like your name included.

1. THE HUAXIA CHINESE CHURCH BEGINS ITS SUNDAY SERVICES IN THIS CHURCH THIS AFTERNOON (2pm ‘til 6 pm). Volunteers are required to provide a warm welcome and to act as guides. Please sign the list at the back of church if you can commit some time on Sundays 15th and 22nd April. Thank you!

2. YESTERDAY’S LENTEN SPONSORED WALK AROUND THE CHURCHES OF THE SOUTH CAMDEN DEANERY Many thanks to our six walkers who managed to walk for five hours around the South Camden Deanery yesterday: Carl, Charles, Celia, Joyce, Andrew, Fr Chris and Ollie the dog. We were given an amazing welcome and lunch by parishoners from St Anne’s Church Highgate and have managed to raise £750 for the Camden Cold Weather Night Shelter. Thanks to all who have given sponsor money. A very fine result and a very fun and refreshing day. Well done, everyone concerned.

3. CAMDEN COLD WEATHER NIGHTSHELTER. OUR FINAL VOLUNTEERING DAY IS THIS COMING SUNDAY, 18th MARCH. Our commitment to the Shelter, based at St George’s Church, Bloomsbury, involves cooking and serving breakfast for fifteen or so overnight homeless guests during the Winter period. We always meet outside church and leave promptly at 6 30 am. Anyone welcome to join us.

4. LECTURE AND LONDON LAUNCH OF PROFESSOR PETER TYLER’S BOOK ‘CONFESSION, THE HEALING OF THE SOUL’ at St Mary’s Church, Bourne Street SW1W 8JJ on Friday 23rd March at 7 15 pm. This is followed by the book launch and refreshments. Stations of the Cross will take place at 5 pm rather than the usual 6 pm on this evening so that some of us may attend this event.

Walkers urgently wanted – no need to seek sponsorship - Please let Fr Christopher know if you can come! We will stop by at St Anne’s Highgate for rest and lunch. The actually walking should take approximately two hours.
