2. A SERVICE OF CELEBRATION AND PRAYER FOR THE 8TH ANNIVERSARY OF SOUTH SUDAN takes place in this church this Saturday 6th July at 2 30 pm. All are welcome to attend. The Chargé D’Affaires at the South Sudanese Embassy and his wife will be our special guests for that afternoon.

4. THE ANNUAL ST BENEDICT LECTURE tales place at St Benet’s Church, Kentish Town on Thursday 11th July, the Feast of St Benedict. The event begins with Solemn Evensong at 6 30 pm followed by the lecture at 7 30 pm entitled ‘The Life and Legacy of St Benedict’ given by the Dean of Westminster, The Very Rev’d. Dr John Hall. There will be a service of Choral Evensong with choir members from St Alban’s Church, Holborn with sermon and Solemn Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament. Our Preacher will be The Rev’d. 1. THE COMMISSIONING OF NEW CHURCHWARDENS takes place at St Luke’s Church, Oseney Crescent this Tuesday 4th June at 7 pm. Please come along and support Charles and Julia as they pledge their work as churchwardens for the coming year with other churchwardens serving in the Edmonton Area. Fr Christopher and Julia will be co-presenting a short address on “Towards a Ministry of Compassion at Holy Cross Church” The Archdeacon of Hampstead will preside.

2. PARISH VISIT TO SALISBURY takes place this Saturday 8th June, We leave Holy Cross Church at 8 30 am. The day has a formal timetable, including a visit to the Salisbury Diocesan group supporting the people of South Sudan, a visit to the Benedictine monks in the Cathedral Close, and Choral Evensong at the Cathedral. We should be back in London by 9 pm. The cost is £40 and will include lunch. Those who have pledged to go should contact Julia Cleverdon for more information.
